Dr. Raechele Cochran Gathers is a board-certified dermatologist, medical educator, and researcher dedicated to improving skin, hair, and body health through clear, evidence-based education. Often referred to professionally as Dr. Raechele Gathers, her work focuses on translating dermatologic science into practical guidance while dispelling common skincare myths that can lead to ineffective—or even harmful—treatment choices.
Through her educational platform DrRaecheleDerm, she shares expert insights on acne, pigmentary disorders, hair loss, skin conditions, and evidence-based skincare. Her goal is to empower people to make informed decisions about their skin and hair health by providing trustworthy, science-grounded information.
Education and Training
Dr. Gathers grew up in Detroit, Michigan. She earned her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School.
She completed her dermatology training and has spent more than a decade caring for patients while also contributing to dermatologic education and research.
